The Autumn Season means Warm Days and Cold Nights!
Rooster was Friends of Ferdinand's 1st Special Needs Animal Relation! Brought in from Ferdinand's Familia's Ranch, Rooster was left too long in a kindle move... Unfortunately Rooster did not make it. When left alone too long without a mamma, all neonates are miracles and everyday is a gift! All of us miss Rooster. He was loved the short time he was with us.
Romi is from the North Central Shelter in Los Angeles. Many humans worked together to secure her safety. She is currently with a wonderful foster in Los Angeles and will be coming to Rooster Ranch in November or December. Her care is on-going and she would love your emotional and financial support. Please donate to her care-it is easy. Our Paypal Link is on the bottom of the first website page. Thank you!
Ziggy Lord of the Butterlifes was born in May or June of 2019. Ziggy has MegaEsophagus. A fairly rare ailment that affects animals, the esophagus is harden and cannot bend, making it impossible for animals to consume and digest food unless held upright. Animals will throw up their food, causing malnutrition and death if not cared for properly. Ziggy is fed multiple times a day and loves to be held while eating!
Pimpa is 11 years of ageish and unfortunately had humans that did not take care of her. Thank yous to the Escondido HS for caring for her in those first weeks of recovery. Pimpa is now safe and will stay with the rescue. She needs a great deal of time, patience and care. Pimpa has a long road ahead of her and with your help she will live a long happy life! Supporting our work as we serve our animal relations gives us hope for healing.
Vinny was in his last hours at Riverside Animal Care and Control when Friends of Ferdinand stepped up to secure his safety. Thanks to Volunteer Casha, Vinny was picked up and driven to Rooster Ranch. Vinny is sight and hearing limited. He also has neurological issues that are currently monitored. As of this printing, we are still putting weight on Vinny so he can be neutered and have dental surgery. Funds are needed for Vinny's care. Please donate today for Vinny!
Harry is a Handsome Goat. Harry was a confiscation case with San Diego's Department of Animal Services. The child in Harry's home repeatedly beat Harry in the back of the legs with a 2 x 4. Harry cannot bend his back joints. Horrified this happened, all of us at Friends of Ferdinand go that extra special mile to make sure Harry knows he is loved. Harry is a permanent resident of Friends of Ferdinand, so make sure you say HI to Harry when at Rooster Ranch!
